Jessica Hanson is at work in her office when the lights go out. Fumbling for a flashlight, she trips and falls, striking her head. Disoriented and in pain, she watches in horror as Mayor Olivia Stuart is murdered before her very eyes. The blow to her head renders her unconscious, and she awakens to find herself in the local hospital.
