There's an old folktale that if you dig a hole straight through the center of the Earth, you will end up in China. Sagwa is an easier way for children to explore this rich and fascinating culture.Everyone thinks that Sagwa's little sister, Sheegwa, is a princess, and she's getting lots of attention. Sagwa's jealous but she can't admit it until someone reminds her that Sheegwa is always happy when something special happens to Sagwa. Sagwa realizes that jealousy is wrong and she should be happy for her sister -- even if it doesn't always seem fair.
