Death of a Celebrity (Hamish Macbeth Mysteries, No. 18)

Blonde, glamorous BBC reporter Crystal French has blown into Lochdubh with Highland Life, a hard-hitting TV show that has more than just the heather shaking. As she roars into town in her bright BMW, her arrival is heralded by a speeding ticket from Constable Hamish Macbeth, in spite of her attempts at bribery and seduction. Out of revenge, her show targets Hamish for public humiliation with a report on policing in the Highlands. She then proceeds to rake up old local scandals to the outrage of the entire village. But when Crystal turns up dead, an apparent suicide that turns out to be murder, the entire village becomes suspect.
