English for New Americans: Everyday Life

The English for New Americans program uses an immersion approach, thus enabling students to use English much as they would in real life while providing them with the tools and support they need to understand and participate in everyday situations. This approach also makes the program accessible to learners of any language background.

Teaches "real" language necessary to participate in important everyday situations.

The medium of video provides an added dimension to learning. Learners see the language being spoken. Through gestures, expressions, and context, learners can readily comprehend and imitate.

Accessible to native speakers of any language. As ideal for Spanish speakers as it is for speakers of Korean, Chinese, Russian, Vietnamese, etc.

Includes many interviews with real people who discuss their lives and habits in the United States.
