Mejor Dicho

Mejor dicho's functionally based approach—written entirely in Spanish—facilitates the development of advanced-level oral and written discourse skills in third- or fourth-year conversation and conversation/composition courses. Pedagogically innovative, the text links cultural behaviors to language and expands students' knowledge of commonly used regional variants. Following a preliminary chapter, each of the twelve regular chapters focuses on a specific country or region in the Spanish-speaking world and includes four parts: Asimilación cultural, Primera situación, Segunda situación, and Estructuras. Students learn useful conversational gambits and build active listening skills with recordings on the Student Cassette which are supported by cultural readings.
