1864: An Alternate History

1864 (An Alternate History) is the story of what might have happened had the Confederate army not missed its opportunity to attack the Federal army at Spring Hill. The first half of the story is historically accurate as it follows Hood’s grand offensive into Tennessee. The second half of the story introduces one of the great what-ifs of the Civil War. What if Robert E. Lee arrived to take command of Hood’s army as it sat idle that fateful night at Spring Hill? How might a successful attack have changed the fate of the two armies the next day at the battle of Franklin?
