Colonel Jeff O'Leary has served more than 20 years in the United States Air Force, during which he logged more than 2,000 flight hours. He holds four Air Medals, four Meritorious Service Medals, the South-west Asia Service Medal with two Battle Stars, and an Out-standing Unit Award with Valor. He has commanded three organizations including a flying squadron, and was the Deputy Group Commander for Operations over more than 3,000 personnel. Colonel O'Leary holds two masters Degrees and was selected as a Harvard University Fellow in 1999 and 2000. He currently serves on military duty at the Pentagon. In addition to his military service and public speaking, Colonel O'Leary is the founder and director of Mission of Joy, a non-profit organization dedicated to easing the plight of orphans in India. He has overseen the building of four orphanages, ensuring the care of more than 150 children over the past decade. Mission of Joy also supports more than 50 native missionaries in remote villages in India, has built more than 20 churches and a home for widows, and feeds thousands of meals to hungry children every week. Each spring, Mission of Joy organizes 100 nights of outreach meetings to poor villages in India, providing food for both body and spirit. Jeff and his wife Cindy have been married for 25 years. They have five children, and live in the Washington D.C. area. |
