The information contained in this guide will benefit all education personnel who work with students with ASD. A student with ASD presents a unique combination of strengths and challenges that influences their academic achievement and social integration. This guide is not an all-encompassing guide for the education of students with ASD; rather, it should be considered a brief summary of these students strengths and deficits, the challenges these deficits create in the classroom, and strategies that education personnel can use to facilitate positive educational and social experiences for students with ASD.
