Homilies on the Gospels' Vol. I

The homilies preached by Bede to his brother monks in remote Northumbria became a model for preachers for a thousand years. Contained in two books, they follow the liturgical year from Advent through Christmas to Lent, Easter, Pentecost and the long summer season. Here the reader will come to know Bede the man of the Word of God and of the liturgy that proclaims it, and will share his insights into the meaning of the Gospel.
