Each page introduces a new marine inhabitant with a "fun fact," clue and the creature's English and Hawaiian name. Marine life are depicted in their natural colors on the front and back cover, while the inside of the book allows children to imitate those colors or create their own color palette. Young readers will learn about the coral reef as the natural habitat, or "home," to the various marine life depicted in the book.
