Al-Ghazzali On Hope and Fear

What is the true nature of hope and how does one attain this virtue? Al-Ghazzali describes the virtue in detail as well as the true nature of fear, the degrees of fear, kinds of fear and the way to acquire fear of God. He relates many stores of messengers and angels, companions and their forefathers. He then asks: which is superior? Fear or hope? This is Book XXXIII of Part Four of the Alchemy of Happiness entitled The Deliverers.
