Reason and Revolution : Hegel and the Rise of Social Theory

This text argues that we are faced with a political future that initiated itself with the sudden political and financial collapse of Soviet Communism and the unexpected declaration of a "New World Order". In this rapidly changing surface of political realities, this text aims to offer a guide. The author argues that turbulent and spectacular political events always run within channels earlier set by political theory, and that it was Hegel's theory which actually set a fundamental path of modern political life. In this text, the author addresses the sources and consequences of Hegel's social theory.
