Advances in Ceramic Armor (Ceramic Engineering and Science Proceedings)

Contains approximately 30 papers presented during the 29th International Conference on Advanced Ceramics and Composites held at Cocoa Beach, Florida, USA, January 24-28, 2005, at the symposium on ceramic armor. This collection of papers covers the search for novel materials concepts for both vehicle and body armors, but also explore the relationship between computational modeling and property testing. Modeling focuses on the development of valid armor design tools and provides guidance on the properties the community needs to improve the predictive capabilities. The testing emphasis is on the evaluation of properties that can be used to predict performance.
