On August 20, 1998, restaurant co-owners Phyllis Hinz and Lamont Mackay sold their businesses, their houses, and most of their belongings to hit the road. Travelling North America in a 40-foot motor home and offering business advice to small restaurant owners, they became known as 'the Cooking Ladies'.
