The 1950s and early 1960s were the heyday of the Pulp novel. The covers, however, frequently promised more erotic thrills than the books were allowed to deliver in those days. Indeed the blurbs, read now, were often hilarious. But the artists were masters of the art of titillation and this book features a series of illustrations of the clinch, the erotic embrace, or the promise of its imminent occurence. She was the seductive vamp of every American male's dreams - frequently in the uniform of a nurse or air hostess, body straining against lingerie in disaray.
