Fightning for the British and Indians, Simon Girty became a respected warrior and ally of the native tribes, especially the Wyandots and Shawnee. Though Girty was a frontiersman the ilk of Boone and Kenton, and an acquaintence of both, his bloody exploits and legend made him the villian most hated and feared by the settlers of Kentucky and the Ohio Valley.
