Melodic Fingerstyle Guitar

Melodic Fingerstyle Guitar is both a collection solo pieces for acoustic guitar arranged in the melodic style, and an instructional method teaching the basics of the melodic approach. The melodic style uses a technique in which the melodies are realized by playing string-to-string rather than fret-to-fret, and by including open strings as often as possible. This approach permits tones to sustain longer and creates interesting and unexpected harmonic content from even simple melodic material.
