Great American Afghan

Since it's first appearance in Knitter's Magazine issues 42-46, the Great American Afghan has appealed to many knitters -- especially first-time afghan knitters, even those who thought they would never knit an afghan. Since the squares are made one at a time, they are portable and interchangeable. You're free:choose a square or a color to repeat or omit, developing your ideas as you go.
