GMP: Stadia and Arenas

Since the acclaimed modernization of Berlin's Olympic Stadium if not before, the Hamburg architectural team of von Gerkan, Marg, and Partners has been thoroughly established as a star in the field of sports-arena construction. Three football stadiums in Germany--the spectacular RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne, the Stadion der Freundschaft in Cottbus, and the new Waldstadion in Frankfurt--as well as a series of projects in the Arab Gulf States, North Africa and China have set new standards around the world, and confirmed gmp's dominance in this specialized branch of design.
