In this collection of short stories, reality, history, life, and everyday occurrences are questioned. The author, whose inspirations include Kafka, Faulkner, and Onetti, explores themes in which routine infiltrates reality in such a way that it gets confused with dreams and in which lies and deceit undermine daily life to the point of becoming confused with it. Paz Soldn, who has been compared to Borges and Cortzar, often leaves stories with an ambiguous ending for readers to interpret.
